Disney Store trip - my haul for today

I preordered Wreck-It Ralph a while ago, and today was the last day I could pick it up and still use the coupon that came with it. This happened when I preordered Peter Pan, too - what can I say, I don't live superclose to my Disney Stores! Basically, when you preorder you get a coupon that could be used for either $10 your entire purchase or $20 your purchase of $40 or more. WHAT a deal, I can never resist. In fact, I used my Peter Pan coupon to buy Wreck-It Ralph, so 1) it's like the circle of life, and 2) they REALLY have me in the palm of their hand, that Disney Store.

We have two Disney Stores in the area, Alderwood Mall and Southcenter (either one is more than an hour away from my house). Alderwood is bigger, but Southcenter is newer. So take your pick. We were at Alderwood today.

Even though nothing really struck my fancy (I have way too many stuffed animals as it is - maybe you'll see them later, sigh, yes boys I'm single!), I wanted to buy SOMETHING, because hey, $10 off! So, I bought this mug.

Also I have way too many mugs, but whatever. Someday I'll definitely post all of them so I can officially hate myself. Seriously, TOO MANY. I really like this style of mug they've come out with - I already own the Dumbo and Fantasia ones. Beautiful art, a good shape and (most importantly, since this isn't always true with Disney dishes) microwave and dishwasher safe! Allegedly - I'll let you know I guess.

And now Wreck-It Ralph is mine! If only I had the time to watch it! Ah well. Hope we all have a magical week!

Food Friday - sweet (trolley) treats!

Okay! Since March 1st is a Friday, I figured I’d make it a Food Friday post to begin my month of blogging. Here is a mini-review of some sweet treats from Buena Vista Street!

On my recent solo trip, I wasn’t spending much on snacks, but I ducked in to Trolley Treats on my last day for something small to take with me. I like bringing a little bit of the magic home! They had all the classic Disney Parks candies (cookies, apples, chocolates) but what caught my eye as something new was the marshmallow display. I don’t know if they’ve started carrying these in the Candy Palace on Main Street as well, but I’d never seen them before. They were selling two-packs of big ‘mallows for $4.95, but behind the glass I saw some “mini” ‘mallows for a great deal – 4 for $3.49! And when I say “mini,” I mean this:
Nutmallow - "mini" indeed.

I was in a hurry, so I apologize for the lack of photos. But at less than a dollar per treat, what a Disney deal! I decided on Luscious Lemon, Nutmallow, S’mores, and Banana Split, and they were all quite tasty! I can’t pick a favorite. Definitely SWEET, but not too big and a nice treat, especially if you’re sharing with friends. A prepackaged cookie at Disneyland is $4, so this is a great buy if you want to try something new – and fresh, since they make these onsite.

And yes, marshmallows don’t really strike me as a treat that travels well, but these held up surprisingly well – I had two at the airport and two the next day, and they were just fine.

Have a tasty weekend!

It's been months!

Sorry I've been gone forever, my little blog. I resolve to blog more. Here are my souvenirs from my one-day trip to WDW last month! I <3 Disney merchandise! And they <3 my monies.
